ice, bait, tackle & flies

Chris and I went out to Sarsfield today to film Bob Frandsen at work. Tying flies. Amaaazing. A zillion little drawers full of hundred year old hooks, threads, feathers, fox fur, pig wool, squirrel fur .. and folders and files full of his alluring flies. Lorraine made us all teas and coffees and cake, while Bob performed his [very seldom seen] craft. (apparently he's the only one in Australia). luckily he's got a pheasant farm up the road (for the feathers). Got a few shots, but Chris took the film.. that's gonna be part of the Ice Bait & Tackle installation. so groovy.
